The FDA advises women that are pregnant to not use accutane.
Accutane (isotretinoin) is a drug approved to treat the most serious form of acne–a type that is painful, permanently disfiguring, and does not respond to other acne treatments. Accutane is very effective, but its use carries significant potential risks, including birth defects and even fetal death.

The FDA also advises against buying accutane over the internet. Taking accutane also known as Isotretinoin should be done under doctor supervision.
Patients taking isotretinoin may experience side effects including bad headaches, blurred vision, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, stroke, diarrhea, and muscle weakness. Additionally, serious mental health problems, such as depression and suicide, have been reported with isotretinoin use.

A news report has said that researchers believe that the amount of weight that a mother gains during pregnancy can lead to her having an overweight toddler.
Women in the study who gained the recommended amount of weight ran four times the risk of having a child who was overweight at age 3, compared to women who gained less than the advised amount.

I had two large babies that both grew into chunky toddlers. However, as they got older they began to slim down. One thing this news story did not mention is the amount of activity the children had and the amount of calories the children actually took in during
the day.
Dr. Phil had a follow-up show about a young boy that was extremely obese and had a mother that believed his obesity was due to some undiscovered medical condition. When the child went to live with his father and changed his eating habits, and amount of physical activity had then he lost tons of weight.
Having a chunky toddler does not mean that there is a life sentence to obesity. It just means that we, as parents, must work hard to teach our children good exercise and eating habits that they will take with them into adulthood.

The largest part of the settlement goes to the former assistant manager, LaShonda Burns. According to the suit, Burns noticed a pattern of discrimination in October 2003 and complained. She was fired in August 2004 after her boss told her that she believed Burns was pregnant. She wasn’t.

Despite all the backlash and criticism she has received, Madonna supports adoption from other countries. Madonna is currently in the process of adopting her one year-old son from Malawi.  On the Regis and Kelly show Madonna remarked how her adopted son had some of the same facial features as her biological son with Guy Ritchie.
Malawi had no clear cut adoption laws.
“We were basically creating the laws as we went,” Madonna told TV host David Letterman on his CBS network “Late Show.”
